About this opportunity
The AERC–World Bank Visiting Scholars Programme provides an opportunity for AERC network researchers to spend 4–6 months at the World Bank, collaborating with World Bank economists and researchers on policy-relevant economic research focused on Africa. Scholars gain access to World Bank research resources, mentorship, datasets, and professional networks while strengthening their own research, publications, and teaching materials. Each year, three visiting scholars are selected.
Requirements
- Be an AERC network researcher, including researchers in the AERC Collaborative PhD Programme (CPP).
- Have an active AERC research project at the interim/post-field stage or final research paper stage.
- Conduct research that aligns with the World Bank Africa Region's research agenda and Africa's development priorities.
- Submit:
- A two-page statement of interest.
- A draft research paper relevant to African economic development.
- Course curriculum/materials you intend to improve (if applicable).
- An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
