About this opportunity
The Getty Conservation Guest Scholars Program provides residential grants to distinguished scholars and professionals in cultural heritage conservation. Selected scholars spend three months in residence at the Getty Conservation Institute in Los Angeles, California, conducting independent research, accessing Getty's world-class research collections, and participating in Getty's academic community. The programme is intended for established professionals rather than degree-seeking students.
Requirements
- Be a researcher or practitioner in:Cultural Heritage Conservation
- Historic Preservation
- Heritage Science
- Related fields.
- Have at least seven years of professional experience.
- Demonstrate a strong record of publications or professional contributions.
- Submit a research proposal relevant to conservation.
- Be available to undertake a three-month residency at the Getty Conservation Institute.
- Postdoctoral research or research contributing toward a PhD or other academic degree is not eligible.
