About this opportunity

Connect & Create: Circulation of Performing Arts and Music supports the touring and international circulation of African artistic productions across Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. The 2027 call provides financial support for tours and for programming African artistic productions within major international events, helping artists and cultural organisations build new distribution networks and strengthen the visibility of African creative work.

Requirements

- Applications must come from an eligible organisation, not an individual artist applying independently. - Eligible applicants include: - Performing arts companies - Musical ensembles - Africa-based artist collectives - Production offices - Artist-development organisations - Artist-support organisations - Record labels - Performance venues - Cultural spaces - Festivals - Professional markets - Trade fairs - Professional networking events. - Applicant organisations must be legally established in an eligible Sub-Saharan African country or EU Member State. - The organisation must have been legally registered for at least two years. - Applicants must demonstrate relevant professional experience in performing arts and/or music. - For touring projects in Africa, the project must include at least 5 pre-confirmed performances in at least 3 different countries, excluding the artists' country of residence. - For European tours, the project must include at least 3 pre-confirmed performances in one or more European countries. - For programming at major international events, the event must programme at least 3 artistic teams from 3 different African countries. - Applicants must provide at least 30% co-financing through cash and/or in-kind contributions.
