About this opportunity

The Indigenous Women’s Program Fellowship 2027 – Cohort V is a year-long fellowship supporting Indigenous women leaders who are developing community-level initiatives focused on Indigenous Peoples’ rights, gender equality and community well-being. Fellows receive mentorship, leadership development, training, networking and financial support to implement a community project.

Requirements

- Must be an Indigenous woman aged 18–35. - Must speak English, French or Spanish fluently. - Priority is given to applicants who do not hold a Master's or doctoral degree. - Must not have previously been a Land Is Life fellow. - Must develop a community project aligned with the programme's themes. - Must provide a recommendation letter from an Indigenous Peoples' organization, representative/leader from the applicant's territory, or equivalent official source. - Applicants from countries not previously represented in the fellowship receive priority. Previously represented countries include Indonesia, Tanzania, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Kenya, Mali, Philippines, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal, Mexico and Bolivia.
