Kala Art Institute: MediaArts Fellowship 2027–28

Kala’s Media Arts Fellowship supports artists creating innovative work in film, video, sound, animation, performance cinema and media installation. Selected artists receive a stipend and access to Kala’s facilities to help complete a particular project or body of work. The fellowship concludes with a group exhibition, giving artists an opportunity to present their work publicly.
Requirements checklist

Prepare a project that benefits from Kala’s media-art facilities and resources.

Submit the online application, artist CV, work samples and contact details for two references.
- 03
Provide up to 10 images and/or up to five minutes of video.
- 04
Include the title, year, medium and dimensions or duration of each work sample.
- 05
Confirm that you will not be enrolled in a degree-granting programme during the fellowship period.
