South Summit Madrid Startup Competition is an international startup competition that brings together innovative companies, investors, corporations and entrepreneurs. The 2027 edition will take place in Madrid from 2–4 June 2027. Up to 100 selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses to international investors and corporate partners, participate in training and mentoring, and compete for five awards. The competition accepts startups from any country and at different stages of development, provided they operate within one of its eligible industry areas. Applications are free. Selected finalists receive two complimentary event tickets, investor matchmaking and a chance to present on the main stage. Travel and accommodation are not covered, so international founders must budget for those costs.

Requirements checklist

    Operate in one of the competition's eligible industry areas.

    Complete the application profile in English.

    Explain the startup's business model and value proposition.

    Provide information about the product, target market and development stage.

    Demonstrate the startup's potential for growth.

  7. 07

    Complete the online application before 31 January 2027.

  8. 08

    Be prepared to pitch in English if selected.

  9. 09

    Be able to attend the in-person event in Madrid if selected as a finalist.
