The ABSTRACT competition invites photographers to explore abstract visual expression through shapes, colours, textures and unconventional photographic perspectives. It welcomes both professional and amateur photographers and accepts different photographic processes, including digital photography, black-and-white work and experimental techniques. Selected photographers receive cash awards and international exposure through the NYC4PA online gallery and winners' catalogue.

Requirements checklist

    Open to amateur and professional photographers worldwide.

    Submit original photographic images.

  3. 03

    Images must communicate an abstract artistic concept.

  4. 04

    Submit JPG image files.

  5. 05

    Do not include signatures, watermarks or artist names in image titles.

  6. 06

    Pay the required submission fee.

  7. 07

    Images that received an NYC4PA prize within the previous two years are ineligible.
