SHAPE Involve and Engage

The SHAPE Involve and Engage programme supports researchers who want to create innovative public engagement projects based on humanities and social sciences research. Rather than funding new research, it helps researchers collaborate with galleries, libraries, archives, museums (GLAM organisations), or performing arts organisations to make research accessible and meaningful to wider audiences through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and other engagement activities.

- Be an early-career, postdoctoral, mid-career, established, or senior researcher. - Be based at an eligible UK higher education institution or independent research organisation. - Partner with a GLAM organisation or performing arts organisation. - Propose a public engagement project rooted in humanities or social sciences research. - Submit the application through the British Academy's Flexi-Grant system before the deadline.
