The Cecil Renaud Overseas Scholarship is a prestigious postgraduate scholarship awarded annually to one or two exceptional South African students to pursue a Master's (or equivalent) or PhD at a university of their choice in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is tenable for up to two years and is awarded based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to contributing positively to South Africa.
Requirements checklist

Be a South African citizen or permanent resident who has lived in South Africa for at least five years.

Be under 27 years old at the time of application.

Have completed the majority of your secondary education in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

Be in the final year of an Honours degree or a four-year undergraduate degree at a South African university.

Have achieved, or be on track to achieve, cum laude or summa cum laude (or equivalent).

Demonstrate outstanding leadership, commitment, resilience, and extracurricular involvement.

Intend to pursue full-time Master's or PhD studies at a UK university.
