About this opportunity
The KAS-SAIIA Scholarship is a fully funded Master's scholarship and research internship for outstanding young South Africans interested in international relations, governance, economics, law, development studies, political science, journalism, and related social science disciplines. Successful applicants pursue a Master's degree at a partner university while undertaking a paid research internship at SAIIA's Johannesburg or Cape Town office.
Requirements
- Be 30 years old or younger.
- Be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
- Hold an Honours degree (or equivalent) with a strong academic record.
- Meet the admission requirements for a Master's programme at:
- University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), or
- University of Cape Town (UCT), or
- Stellenbosch University (SU), or
- University of the Western Cape (UWC).
- Apply for admission to an eligible Master's programme.
- Applicants who have already completed the first year of a Master's degree are not eligible.
