About this opportunity
The ESO Science Communication Internship is a six-month paid internship in Garching, Germany, for students or recent graduates interested in communicating astronomy and science to public audiences. Interns work within ESO's communications environment and gain practical experience translating complex scientific discoveries into engaging content. ESO is an international astronomical research organisation operating major observatories in Chile
Requirements
- Be a student or recent graduate in Science Communication, Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Have a strong interest in science and astronomy.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment.
- Relevant experience in science communication, journalism, digital media, social media or content production is advantageous.
