About this opportunity
The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive 12-week research internship in Canada for eligible international undergraduate students. Selected students work on research projects supervised by professors at Canadian universities. Projects span STEM as well as humanities and social sciences, making this broader than a purely technology-focused internship.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old when applying.
- Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master's programme at an eligible institution.
- Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study or be enrolled in the second year, depending on country-specific requirements.
- Have one to three semesters remaining in the programme as of Fall 2027, subject to country-specific rules.
- Meet the GPA/academic requirements applicable to your country or international partner.
- Apply to 3–10 research projects across at least three Canadian provinces.
- Have sufficient proficiency in the language of the selected project (English and/or French).
- Be available for a 12-week consecutive internship between 1 May and 31 October 2027, starting between 1 May and 31 July.
- Have not previously received a Mitacs Globalink Research Internship.
