About this opportunity

The Chevening OCIS Fellowship is a five-month fully funded research fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies for mid-career professionals and academics. Fellows undertake self-directed research relating to the culture and civilisation of Islam and contemporary Muslim societies, while participating in OCIS's multidisciplinary academic community.

Requirements

- Be a citizen of an eligible country and resident in that country at the time of application. - Nigeria is explicitly eligible. - Hold a postgraduate-level qualification, or equivalent professional training/experience in a relevant field. - Have at least five years of significant professional and/or academic research experience. - Have a research project relevant to the fellowship's focus. - Submit a research proposal explaining the main research question and methodology. - Meet Chevening's standard fellowship eligibility requirements. - Be available for the five-month fellowship in Oxford. - Successful candidates go through two interview stages: an initial Chevening interview and a final OCIS interview
