About this opportunity
HENNGE's Global Internship Program is an on-site software engineering internship in Tokyo, Japan, designed for students, recent graduates and early-career engineers. The programme lasts approximately 4–6 weeks and provides hands-on training in software development, cloud technologies, DevOps and modern web development under the guidance of experienced HENNGE engineers.
The programme has Full-Stack and Front-End pathways and is conducted in English; Japanese is not required. HENNGE also describes the programme as part of its hiring process, meaning outstanding interns may have opportunities to transition into full-time employment
Requirements
- Be a third-year undergraduate student or higher, including Master's and PhD students, or a recent graduate.
- Be studying or hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent experience through a technology internship or bootcamp.
- Have strong English proficiency.
- Have relevant software-development skills.
- For the Full-Stack pathway, proficiency in Python, Go or React/Vue with TypeScript is expected.
- For the Front-End pathway, proficiency in React or Vue with TypeScript is expected.
- Have knowledge of Linux, macOS or another Unix-like environment.
- Demonstrate interest in open-source projects or technology communities.
- Be interested in potentially pursuing a career in Japan.
- Applicants must complete HENNGE's coding challenge and subsequent interviews.
