About this opportunity
The European Commission Blue Book Traineeship is a five-month paid traineeship offering practical experience inside the European Commission and its agencies. Trainees work in areas such as EU policymaking, public administration, communication, economics, law, technology, international relations and other policy fields.
For the March 2027 session, applicants who pass the eligibility and pre-selection stages enter the Virtual Blue Book, where they can apply for specific positions offered by Commission departments and agencies.
Requirements
- Hold a completed university degree for the standard graduate administrative traineeship.
- Have a strong command of English, French or German.
- EU nationals must generally demonstrate knowledge of two official EU languages.
- Non-EU nationals must demonstrate good knowledge of English, French or German.
- Have a valid passport/identity document.
- Provide documentary evidence for education, language skills, identity and declared experience.
- Have no more than 42 calendar days of previous professional experience within EU institutions, bodies, agencies, EU delegations, MEP offices or certain related EU bodies.
- Be at least 18 years old at the start of the traineeship.
- Submit only one application per traineeship type per session.
