About this opportunity
The Council of the European Union offers five-month paid traineeships in Brussels for graduates who want practical experience in EU policymaking and administration. Around 110 traineeship positions are available each year, covering areas such as policy, law, administration, communications, translation and IT.
Trainees work alongside Council officials and advisers, contribute to the institution's daily activities and gain first-hand experience of how EU policies and decisions are developed.
Requirements
- Be a citizen of an EU Member State.
- Hold a university degree at Bachelor's level or higher by the application deadline.
- Have a very good knowledge of English or French (at least C1).
- Have a very good knowledge of at least one other EU official language.
- Have not previously completed training or employment lasting more than six weeks at another EU institution, body, agency or office.
- There is no age limit for applicants.
