About this opportunity
The RIKEN IMS Internship Program gives talented international students and early-career postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct research for 1–3 months in an IMS laboratory in Japan. The programme focuses on integrative medical sciences, including genomics, immunology, physiology, bioinformatics, molecular and biochemical sciences, and quantitative sciences. Around 8 interns are selected
Requirements
- Category 1: Be enrolled in a Master's or PhD programme, or be a medical student at a level equivalent to a Master's student in Japan.
- Category 2: Be a young postdoctoral researcher within three years of obtaining a PhD.
- Be enrolled in an academic institution throughout the proposed internship period.
- Identify an appropriate RIKEN IMS host laboratory.
- Propose a research topic suitable for the selected laboratory.
- Demonstrate that the internship will contribute meaningfully to your research career.
- Submit the required documents in English.
- A recommendation letter must be sent directly by your supervisor to the host team leader
