About this opportunity
Yennenga Academy is a professional development programme for young African filmmakers and filmmakers from the African diaspora. The programme forms part of the 30th edition of FESPACO and gives emerging filmmakers an opportunity to interact with experienced film professionals, discover the industry environment and build professional relationships. The 2027 edition will take place from 28 February to 5 March 2027 in Ouagadougou.
Requirements
- Be a national of an African country or the African diaspora.
- Be between 18 and 32 years old.
- Be fluent in English or French.
- Be an aspiring filmmaker or young professional in the film/audiovisual industry.
- Submit a CV.
- Submit a cover letter explaining your needs and expectations.
- Provide a recommendation letter from a film organisation.
- Provide a valid passport or national ID.
- Provide a recent portrait photograph.
- Submit a complete application before the deadline
