About this opportunity
The AfriMAB GRÓ LRT Land Restoration Fellowship is a fully funded six-month professional training programme for specialists working in African biosphere reserves and involved in ecosystem restoration. Fellows travel to Iceland for coursework, practical field training and an individual restoration project connected to the needs of their home institution. Successful participants receive 30 ECTS at postgraduate level and a GRÓ LRT diploma.
Requirements
- Be under 40 years old.
- Work in an African biosphere reserve.
- Hold a prominent role in ecosystem restoration activities.
- Have at least one year of relevant experience working in a biosphere reserve.
- Hold at least one university degree relevant to the programme, such as:
- Ecology
- Natural Sciences
- Environmental Management
- Environmental Studies
- Related disciplines.
- Be able to communicate in English.
- Obtain endorsement from the relevant biosphere reserve.
- Obtain endorsement from the national MAB Focal Point or MAB Committee.
