The GEMA Africa Awards celebrate excellence in African entertainment, media, creativity and storytelling, recognising standout work across platforms involved in the production, broadcasting and streaming of entertainment content. The 2026 awards include categories covering areas such as animation, design, campaigns, content and other creative work.
Requirements checklist

Submit eligible creative work produced or released within the specified eligibility period.

Work must have been first made public/launched between 6 September 2025 and 7 September 2026.
- 03
Eligible entrants include individuals, production companies and other qualifying creative/entertainment entities depending on category.

Work must fit one of the published award categories.
- 05
Submit the required entry materials during the submission period.
