About this opportunity

AIR in Tainan's Tsung-yeh Artist-in-Residence Programme provides an international residency opportunity for artists to develop site-specific creative projects at the historic Tsung-yeh Arts and Cultural Center in Tainan. The 2027 programme is built around the theme “Site-Specific Art”, encouraging artists to respond to Tainan's hydrology, terrain, ecology, humanities and the historical context of the Tsung-yeh site. The programme promotes international artistic exchange and interaction with local communities

Requirements

- Be a professional artist/creative practitioner. - Submit a proposal for a creative project suitable for the Tsung-yeh site. - Proposed work should engage with the theme of Site-Specific Art. - Projects may respond to: - Tainan's hydrology - Terrain and geology - Ecology - Local history - Indigenous and agricultural culture - Community and local life. - Be prepared to participate in the residency and related public activities. - Provide the required artistic portfolio and project proposal. - Complete the online application before the deadline. - International and Taiwanese artists are eligible to apply. The programme has historically welcomed cross-disciplinary, visual-art and performance practices.
