About this opportunity

The INHABIT Artist-in-Residence Programme invites artists working in performing arts and music to collaborate with scientists and researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt. The programme encourages interdisciplinary exchange between artistic practice and scientific research, with residents developing a project that can take the form of an exhibition, performance, concert or another public format.

Requirements

- Be an artist working in performing arts or music. - Have an active contemporary artistic practice. - Be interested in interdisciplinary collaboration between arts and science. - Propose an innovative project that can meaningfully connect with the Institute's research. - Be open to developing and sharing the project publicly. - Submit: - CV - Artist statement - Project proposal - Portfolio/work samples. - Be available for one of the 2027 residency periods
