About this opportunity
The Scuola Piccola Zattere International Fellowship is a 3-month fellowship in Venice for artists and cultural practitioners working outside the Venetian area. The 2027 fellowship forms part of the institution's third season, “Living Document,” and provides selected fellows with dedicated time and space to develop ongoing artistic or research practices while engaging with Venice's artistic community and the programme's interdisciplinary research themes. Two fellows will be selected.
Requirements
- Be an artist or cultural practitioner.
- Applicants may include:
- Artists
- Curators
- Researchers
- Architects
- Choreographers
- Performers
- Writers
- Other cultural practitioners.
- Work outside the Venetian area, either elsewhere in Italy or internationally.
- There is no age restriction, although the fellowship particularly targets practitioners in the post-academic stage of their careers, typically under 40.
- Have a good knowledge of English.
- Applicants of any nationality may apply.
- Non-EU applicants must hold a valid passport for international travel.
- Submit a motivation letter, CV and portfolio.
- Explain how your research connects with the Living Document themes.
- Be available to remain in Venice throughout the fellowship period.
- Participate in Scuola Piccola Zattere's activities and contribute proposals to its public
