About this opportunity
The 25th Andreu World International Design Contest is an international design competition celebrating 25 years of supporting emerging design talent. The 2026 special edition, “Manufacturing the Future,” challenges students and professional designers to create innovative seating and/or table designs that address contemporary challenges through responsible manufacturing, circular-economy principles and conscious material use.
Requirements
- Be a design student or professional.
- There is no age restriction.
- Applicants may come from anywhere in the world.
- Submit an original seat and/or table design responding to the official briefing.
- The proposal should demonstrate:
- Innovation
- Responsible use of materials
- Circular-design principles
- Efficient production
- Durability
- Positive environmental and social impact.
- The design must be technically suitable for industrial/mass production.
- The project must comply with the official dimensions, materials and technical specifications in the briefing.
- Submit the required design documentation and prototype/model according to the contest rules.
