LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027

The LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize is an international award celebrating contemporary craftsmanship that combines exceptional technical skill with artistic vision, originality and innovation. The 2027 edition is the Prize's 10th edition and is open to professional artisans worldwide. The winner will receive €50,000, while two Special Mentions may each receive €5,000. Thirty finalist works will be selected for an exhibition in Europe in spring 2027.

- Be 18 years or older at the time of submission. - Be a professional artisan/craftsperson. - Applicants may be of any nationality. - Apply individually or as a group of makers. - Each participant may submit only one entry, consisting of either: - One single work, or - One series of works. - The work must be: - Original - Handmade or partly handmade by the applicant - Created within the last five years - One-of-a-kind or a qualifying series - Owned by the applicant. - The work must demonstrate: - Artistic intent - Technical proficiency - Innovation - Originality - Contemporary artistic vision. - The work should reinterpret or update traditional craft rather than simply reproduce traditional techniques. - Works that have previously won a prize are not eligible. - Works that were finalists in previous LOEWE Craft Prize editions are not eligible. - Applicants must submit 2–5 photographs of the work or series. - A video may optionally be submitted. - A brief conceptual statement about the work is required. - Applications must be completed in English.
