About this opportunity
The CEWE Photo Award is a major international photography competition under the theme “Our world is beautiful.” It is open to both amateur and professional photographers worldwide, with photographers able to submit up to 100 images for free across ten categories. The 2027 edition introduces The World in Abstract as a new category and offers approximately €250,000 in total prizes across 1,000 winning positions.
Requirements
- Open to photographers worldwide.
- Both amateur and professional photographers may participate.
- Submit up to 100 photographs.
- Images can be entered across the competition's 10 categories.
- Photographs must be created using a lens-based camera.
- Uploaded files must be at least 1,080 × 1,080 pixels.
- Accepted formats include JPG, JPEG and PNG.
- Exclusively computer-generated or AI-generated images are not permitted.
- AI-generated fills in post-processing are also prohibited.
- For the World in Abstract category, collages and generated content are specifically excluded.
- Applicants aged 16–25 can additionally compete for the Young Talent Award.
