The A4 Residency Art Center in Chengdu runs a multidisciplinary international residency designed to encourage cross-cultural exchange and interdisciplinary creative practice. The programme welcomes artists and creatives working across visual arts, performance, music, film, sound, architecture and design.

Requirements checklist

    Be a multidisciplinary artist or creative practitioner.

    Applicants may work in:

    • Visual arts • Performing arts • Music • Film • Sound • Architecture • Product design • Fashion • Spatial design • Interactive design.

  3. 03

    Curators and other cross-disciplinary cultural practitioners may apply.

  4. 04

    Submit a portfolio/work samples.

  5. 05

    Provide a project or practice proposal.

  6. 06

    Demonstrate interest in engaging with Chengdu's urban and cultural environment.

    Be willing to participate in community and public-facing activities.
