The EAN Fellowship is an African Union startup acceleration programme designed to help promising African businesses grow through structured training, expert mentorship, intellectual-property support and access to markets across Africa and beyond. Cohort 2 will support 100 fellows from all 55 African Union Member States.

Requirements checklist

    Business must be youth- or women-led.

  2. 02

    Must be registered and operating in an AU Member State.

  3. 03

    Must be formally registered as a business entity.

  4. 04

    Must have operated for at least 2 years.

  5. 05

    Must employ at least 3 full-time staff.

  6. 06

    Businesses are assessed according to maturity:

    • Tier 1: 2–5 years, minimum 3 employees. • Tier 2: 5–10 years, 10–30 employees. • Tier 3: 10+ years or investor-ready. • Submit business registration and enterprise information. • Submit a written pitch of up to 800 words.

  7. 07

    Shortlisted applicants provide supporting evidence concerning access to finance.
