About this opportunity
A two-year fellowship for African university faculty and scientists working in research organisations who want to integrate artificial intelligence into scientific or engineering research. Fellows spend 12 months at the University of Michigan developing AI-enabled research and another 12 months in Africa implementing research and training activities.
Requirements
- Be an African university faculty member or equivalent research scientist.
- Have an active research profile.
- Hold a PhD or equivalent research qualification.
- Work in science or engineering.
- Demonstrate how AI can advance the proposed research.
- Identify suitable University of Michigan mentors.
- Submit an Individualised Training, Research and Impact Plan.
