About this opportunity
The Dennis McDermott Research Scholarship supports Indigenous Australian students of exceptional research promise undertaking a Master's by Research or doctoral research degree at La Trobe University. The scholarship is awarded alongside a Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship, providing a substantial living stipend, tuition-fee coverage and research support.
Requirements
- Be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident.
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander origin.
- Meet the entrance requirements for the proposed research degree.
- For PhD applicants, normally have completed a Master's by Research or equivalent substantial research experience.
- For Master's by Research applicants, normally have a first-class honours equivalent.
- Develop a research proposal or apply for an available graduate research project.
- Obtain in-principle agreement from an appropriate La Trobe supervisor.
