The Eric Bleumink Fellowship supports exceptionally talented international students from eligible countries to pursue a 1- or 2-year Master's degree at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. The fellowship is highly competitive and is intended to help promising students from developing and least-developed countries strengthen the academic capacity of their home countries.

Requirements checklist

  1. 01

    Apply for an eligible Master's programme at the University of Groningen.

  2. 02

    Receive a provisional or unconditional admission offer before February 2027.

  3. 03

    Have excellent academic performance.

  4. 04

    Have excellent grades during Bachelor's studies.

  5. 05

    Demonstrate strong English-language proficiency.

  6. 06

    Be available for the entire Master's programme.

  7. 07

    Be in good health so that Dutch health insurance can be arranged.

  8. 08

    Hold the nationality of an eligible country listed by the University.

  9. 09

    Have no other means of financing the study.
