About this opportunity

The Connect & Create Collaboration Grant supports teams of visual artists and cultural professionals to create and present finished artistic works. It encourages - Cross-border collaboration. - Peer learning and exchange. - Equal partnerships between African and European practitioners. - Public exhibitions and audience engagement. - Production of completed artistic outputs rather than research or training. Projects should result in: 1. A jointly developed concept. 2. Production of a final artwork. 3. Public presentation (physical or digital). 4. Audience engagement activities. The programme emphasizes creativity, cultural dialogue, and sustainable partnerships

Requirements

13 to prepare — tracked as a checklist when you start

    Be 18 years or older

  2. 2

    Be visual artists or professionals in visual arts (e.g. curators, designers, art directors, digital artists, cultural managers)

  3. 3

    Be based in Sub-Saharan Africa or the European Union

  4. 4

    Team lead must be based in Sub-Saharan Africa

  5. 5

    Teams can be:

    Fully based in Sub-Saharan Africa, or

  7. 7

    Mixed teams with members from Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe

  8. 8

    Projects must result in a finished artistic work and public presentation

    The programme does NOT fund:

    Standalone research or documentation projects

  11. 11

    Residencies without final outputs

  12. 12

    Training or capacity-building programmes

  13. 13

    Market research or feasibility studies
