The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) supports high-achieving full-time Master's and PhD students undertaking eligible research-based graduate programmes. The fellowship is open to Canadian and international students who demonstrate superior intellectual ability and academic achievement. Applications are submitted through the student's academic department/unit

Requirements checklist

  1. 01

    Must be a full-time Master's or PhD student at the University of Manitoba.

  2. 02

    Must be enrolled in a research-based programme eligible for Tri-Council graduate student awards.

  3. 03

    Must demonstrate superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment.

  4. 04

    Must meet the admission and registration requirements of the relevant graduate programme.

  5. 05

    International students are eligible.

  6. 06

    Application is submitted through the applicant's home department/unit.
