UNU-WIDER Visiting PhD Fellowship 2027

The UNU-WIDER Visiting PhD Fellowship Programme gives registered doctoral students the opportunity to spend three consecutive months in Helsinki, Finland, using UNU-WIDER's research facilities and working with its researchers on their PhD dissertation or thesis research, particularly research concerning developing economies. Fellows are expected to produce research papers and present their work during their fellowship.

- Must be currently enrolled in a PhD programme. - Must still be pursuing the PhD during the fellowship; applicants who have already completed or submitted their thesis are not eligible. - Must demonstrate ability to conduct research on developing economies. - Research should preferably align with UNU-WIDER's work programme. - Must have strong quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills. - Must be fluent in written and spoken English. - Applications from developing-country, female and early-career researchers are particularly encouraged. - A PhD supervisor must provide a reference letter confirming the applicant's PhD enrolment.
