About this opportunity
The UM NL Global Studies Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for outstanding students from eligible non-EU/EEA countries who are admitted to Maastricht University's Bachelor's in Global Studies. Only one scholarship is awarded per academic year. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, insurance, visa costs and required pre-academic training.
Requirements
- Must hold the nationality of a country eligible for OECD Official Development Assistance (ODA), excluding Suriname.
- Must not hold dual nationality from an EU/EEA country, Switzerland or Suriname.
- Must apply for the Global Studies Bachelor's programme for the 2027–2028 academic year.
- Must have submitted a complete admission application by 10 December 2026.
- Must not already hold a higher-education degree equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
- Must be 35 years old or younger on 1 September 2027.
- Must meet the Global Studies programme's admission requirements.
- Must agree to act as a UM and Global Studies ambassador during and after the programme.
