About this opportunity
The Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship is a 12-month professional fellowship designed for emerging African leaders. In 2027, three Fellows will be placed in the executive offices of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan, UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, or International Trade Centre (ITC) in Geneva. Fellows gain hands-on experience in research, policy and institutional leadership while receiving mentorship from senior leaders at their host organisations.
Requirements
- Must be a national of an African country.
- Must have at least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Must hold a Master's degree.
- Must be under 40 years old, or under 45 for women with children.
- Must meet any additional requirements set by the selected host institution.
- Applicants should have relevant professional experience appropriate to the fellowship placement.
