EPFL Summer Research Program2027

The EPFL Summer Research Program (SRP) is an international research internship for outstanding undergraduate and early-stage Master's students in life sciences. Participants spend 8 weeks working in an EPFL research laboratory, receive research mentoring, attend scientific seminars and participate in professional-development activities. The 2027 programme runs from 5 July to 27 August 2027.
Requirements checklist

Must currently be enrolled in a university degree programme.

Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study by the start of the programme.

Can be an undergraduate student through the first year of a Master's degree.
- 04
PhD students are not eligible.
- 05
Must be studying biology, biophysics, chemistry, bioengineering, bioinformatics, quantitative biology, genetics, medical or another related life-sciences field.

Must have a GPA equivalent to 3.75/4.0 or higher, or be in the top 5% of the class.
- 07
Must demonstrate strong interest in pursuing a career in life sciences.
- 08
Previous laboratory experience is an advantage.
- 09
Must remain enrolled as a student throughout the programme
