UM NL Brightlands TalentScholarship 2027
All Information
The UM NL Brightlands Talent Scholarship offers two full-coverage scholarships for outstanding non-EU/EEA international students admitted to selected Master's programmes connected to the Brightlands campuses in Limburg. Scholars receive tuition coverage, a monthly living allowance, insurance, visa costs and pre-academic training. A mandatory component is the Thesis-Incubator Programme (TIP), where scholars complete their thesis assignment with a company at the relevant Brightlands campus.
Requirements checklist

Must be a national of a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and Surinam.

Must meet the requirements for a Dutch visa/residence permit.

Must have applied to an eligible Maastricht University Master's programme for 2027–28.

Must have submitted the complete Master's application by 10 December 2026.

Must have a minimum GPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent.
- 06
Must not have previously participated in a degree-seeking higher-education programme in the Netherlands.

Must be 35 years old or younger on 1 September 2027.
- 08
Preference is given to applicants who have not previously obtained a Master's degree.

Must demonstrate strong academic performance and personal development potential.
- 10
Must be willing to become an active Brightlands and UM ambassador.
- 11
Can apply for only one UM scholarship.
