AOCA, Support for CulturalOperators in Africa 2026

The Support for Cultural Operators in Africa programme funds cultural projects that strengthen artistic collaboration, international exchange and the development of African creative industries. The 2026 call supports projects taking place between March and December 2027. Eligible activities include cross-border artistic tours, exhibitions, festivals, creative collaborations and co-productions involving African and French cultural partners. The programme particularly welcomes emerging artistic practices, youth-focused projects, environmentally responsible delivery and initiatives promoting gender equality.
Requirements checklist

Applicant must be an eligible African cultural institution or organisation based in Africa, or a member of the French cultural network abroad.

The project must fit an eligible artistic discipline.

The proposed project must take place in Africa between March and December 2027.

Projects must meet the relevant collaboration requirements.
- 05
Regional tours must include at least five performances across at least three African countries, excluding the applicant's country of residence, with at least three dates organised in collaboration with an Institut français or Alliance française.

Exhibition tours must include at least three stops across at least three African countries and the required cultural-network collaborations.
- 07
Events must meet the stated African-country or French-African participation criteria.
- 08
Projects not led by the French cultural network must include a letter of support from an eligible French cultural-network institution abroad.
