Open Arts Fund

The Open Arts Fund provides flexible funding for creative projects that strengthen the cultural ecosystem in Northern Nigeria. It supports new and existing projects, artistic development, community-led initiatives, research, production, and activities that expand opportunities for creative practitioners. A separate community fund is restricted to members of the Open Arts Community.
Requirements checklist

Applicants must be based in Nigeria.

Proposed work must meaningfully contribute to Northern Nigeria's creative ecosystem or create opportunities for talent connected to the region.

Individuals, artist duos, creative collectives, and eligible arts organisations may apply.
- 04
Submit a two-page proposal describing the project, intended outcomes, timeline, and budget.
- 05
Community Fund applicants must meet the additional membership requirements.
- 06
Funded projects must be completed within six months of receiving the grant.
