UNESCO, Al Fozan InternationalPrize for Young Scientists in STEM 2026
All Information
This international prize recognises young scientists whose work contributes significantly to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It aims to strengthen STEM research and education, promote international scientific cooperation and encourage young people, particularly women and girls, to pursue scientific careers. Candidates may be recognised for research achievements, contributions to STEM education, innovation, dissemination of scientific knowledge or regional and international cooperation. The prize is awarded to five laureates representing different world regions. It is a competitive recognition award rather than a general project grant, so applicants need an established record of achievement and a valid nomination from an eligible institution or organisation. Nigerian scientists are within the African region covered by the prize.
