Provides partial financial assistance to publishers outside Japan translating and publishing books originally written in Japanese. Eligible works include fiction and non-fiction in the humanities and social sciences that have already been published in Japan. The purpose is to broaden access to Japanese writing and culture internationally. This is a useful opportunity for publishers with a suitable Japanese-language title and a credible translation and publication plan.

Requirements checklist
