IFFGD Research Grant 2027

This research grant supports innovative studies aimed at improving understanding, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. Priority areas include the mechanisms behind gastrointestinal symptoms, symptom management, therapeutic targets, new technologies for understanding gastric function, neurobiology, quality of life and novel approaches to patient care.
Requirements checklist

Applicants must have completed an MD, PhD or equivalent degree within the 10 years preceding the application.

Applicants must have a record of relevant research accomplishments.

Applicants must be actively conducting basic or clinical research related to gastrointestinal disorders covered by IFFGD.
- 04
The proposed study must have sufficient facilities, personnel and resources to be completed.
- 05
Research must receive approval from the appropriate institutional review board or research ethics committee before funds are transferred.

Award recipients must acknowledge IFFGD funding in publications and submit a final research report within 18 months of receiving the grant
