The Aftermath Project: 2026Post-Conflict Grant
All Information
The Aftermath Project supports photographers documenting what happens after conflict: how people rebuild their lives, restore communities, recover from violence, and create possibilities for peace. The grant focuses on stories that are often overlooked after the main fighting or immediate crisis has disappeared from the headlines. It is intended to support the creation of a substantial body of still photography rather than a film, exhibition, or book-distribution project. Photographers can propose work examining the long-term effects of war, insurgency, communal violence, or other qualifying conflicts. Projects should show strong visual storytelling and a meaningful connection to the people or communities being documented. The grant is open to working photographers around the world. Applicants should develop a clear narrative, explain the intended work, and demonstrate their ability to tell the story through photography.
