Climate Intervention Environmental ImpactFund (CIEIF): Sixth Grant Round
All Information
CIEIF supports independent research into the environmental and social implications of emerging climate-intervention technologies before or alongside small-scale field tests. Rather than funding the development of climate technologies themselves, the fund focuses on environmental impact assessments, predictive impact modelling and engagement with communities or other stakeholders who could be affected by testing. It is particularly relevant to research institutions, environmental organisations and qualified project teams that have a technically credible climate-intervention project approaching field testing and need independent assessment of potential impacts. Applicants must already have funding for the underlying research or field test, as CIEIF funding is intended to support the additional assessment and engagement work.
