Global Climbing Initiative: EconomicDevelopment Grant
All Information
The Global Climbing Initiative's Economic Development Grant supports locally led climbing organisations that create sustainable income, jobs, tourism opportunities, and small businesses connected to climbing. Projects can include local guide training, climbing-instructor development, community-owned guiding businesses, workforce development, and responsible climbing tourism. The programme supports grassroots organisations outside the continental United States and has previously funded community projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. A Nigerian organisation could be eligible if it has an established connection to climbing, local leadership, and a realistic plan to create measurable economic benefits for its community. The programme is highly specialised and is not suitable for ordinary businesses or projects unrelated to climbing.
