MSC Student Research Grants2026/2027
All Information
The MSC Student Research Grants support postgraduate students conducting fisheries research connected to fisheries that are certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard or are working towards meeting it. The purpose is to strengthen the scientific evidence available for sustainable fisheries management and improve understanding of marine ecosystems and fishing practices. Projects may involve field research, data collection, equipment, travel or other direct research costs. Nigerian students may be relevant applicants if they can identify an eligible fishery partner and meet the academic requirements. This is a targeted research grant rather than a general scholarship: it does not provide unrestricted tuition or living-cost funding, and the proposed research must have a clear connection to an eligible fishery.
