The Graduate Ellison Scholars Programme supports outstanding doctoral researchers who want to use science, engineering, and technology to address major global challenges. Scholars undertake a DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford while contributing to research and innovation projects led by EIT. The programme is suited to candidates with excellent academic records, strong research potential, and relevant technical or scientific skills. Research areas include artificial intelligence, computer science, engineering, economics, mathematics, plant sciences, biology, chemistry, and related disciplines. Successful scholars receive full doctoral funding and work alongside experienced researchers and industry experts. Applicants must demonstrate how their expertise and proposed research align with the selected EIT project.

Open to applicants of all nationalities who meet the academic and programme requirements.

Applicants must satisfy the University of Oxford's entry requirements for the relevant DPhil programme.

Applicants must use the EIT Graduate Scholars application route for the eligible research area. Some other research areas use separate Oxford application routes.

Successful candidates who receive a conditional funding offer must subsequently complete the relevant Oxford admissions process.
