PhotoIreland's FUTURES Talents call supports contemporary photographers and lens-based artists by connecting selected practitioners with an international photography network. Selected artists receive a €500 participation fee, professional conversations and development opportunities, travel and accommodation for the platform's annual event, and promotion through FUTURES' online and publication channels. Participants may also apply for additional opportunities, including mentorship and exhibition projects. This opportunity is not open worldwide: the 2027 call is for artists based in Ireland or the United Kingdom, as well as Irish and UK artists practising abroad. It is therefore suitable only for applicants who meet that geographic or nationality-related eligibility requirement.
Requirements checklist

Be an Ireland- or UK-based artist, or an Irish or UK artist practising abroad.

Work in photography or an expanded lens-based practice.

Submit a single PDF containing a biography of up to 200 words, artist statement, CV and a project description of up to 500 words.

Include a selection of low-resolution images representing your latest work.
- 05
Include links or brief information about past projects where relevant.
- 06
Submit the application by email following the instructions on the official call.
- 07
If selected, provide the required high-resolution images and portrait by the stated follow-up deadline.
